Originally from Iowa, Ryan started his solar career in 2013 in the high mountains of Colorado. In 2017, he relocated to Montana to take on the role of lead installer for a growing solar company. Ryan quickly became known for his attention to detail, deep technical knowledge, and ability to troubleshoot complex solar systems.

Ryan started Free Range Solar to educate clients on the benefits of solar energy in a laid back environment without the high pressure sales tactics. He is a "lead by example" kind of professional who takes pride in sharing his passion.

Ryan has over 10 years of experience in solar installation, battery backup, and system troubleshooting. He is a NABCEP Certified PV Installer and he carries several more certifications from Kohler and Enphase.
